Paul Wyman, the owner of Tuxford Windmill, was the guest speaker at the Worksop and District u3a May meeting. A familiar sight, the windmill is a popular attraction and sells a variety of products to professional bakeries and at local farmers’ markets.

Paul told the fascinating story of how he bought the windmill knowing nothing about milling, and developed it with his wife into a thriving niche business. He also talked about the wide variety of flours and seeds that are available, and his sales table was very busy at the end as he sold off the ‘visual aids’ he had used in his talk.

The next meeting is on Thursday 18th July, when Rob Barron will give his presentation North Korea: a personal insight.
