Last month’s Worksop and District u3a meeting speaker was Adrian Sumner, who gave a talk about his experience of owning and flying a hot air balloon and revealed the secrets of his fascinating hobby.
The u3a has many groups, one of which is a travel group. They have numerous day trips organised throughout the summer, to include Trentham Gardens, Saltaire Mill and village, Scarborough, Shilden Hall and Peace Hall Halifax.
The April meeting will be on Thursday 18th at the Civic Centre, Carlton in Lindrick. Geoff Harris presents ‘A Toastmaster’s Tales’, promising a light and amusing retelling of some of his experiences working as a Toastmaster at a wide variety of venues all over the UK. Doors open at 1.45pm with teas and coffees.
