It is the end of an era but with exciting prospects for the future. After 48 years in Rainworth, Nottinghamshire, the RDA Woodside Farm Stables Group (registered charity 1074298) has relocated, and their horses now live at Eastfield Farm, King’s Clipstone under the care of livery yard manager Ayla Johnson. There is no longer a Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) charity associated with Woodside Farm.
The horses are currently acclimatising to their new home and surroundings ready for a resumption of activities in spring 2020 in the Edwinstowe/Clipstone/Sherwood area. Expressions of interest both from riding clients and volunteers will be welcome in the meantime.
Yet another change — they shall soon be converting to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) which gives more security for the trustees. This will mean a new name and charity number. But it will still be the same organisation, with all the experience they can offer in providing horse riding for disabled clients.
They are hoping to recruit new trustees to their management team (all volunteers), and new volunteers to help with the horses and with disabled riding sessions. For further information please contact Mrs Winifred Pritchett on 01623 627974 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
