Have you ever wondered what it’s like “somewhere over the rainbow”? Well, now’s your chance to find out!
The members of the Worksop Light Operatic Society are busy weaving their magic to present The Wizard of Oz as their annual production in May. The large cast of adults and children are rehearsing hard to create another amazing show, worthy to follow their previous successes with Annie and The King and I.
With familiar and unforgettable songs such as ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ and ‘We’re Off to See the Wizard’, the adventures of Dorothy, her dog Toto (yes, he’s real), and her friends the Tin Man, the Scarecrow and the Lion in the fantastic land of Oz will provide a wonderful evening’s entertainment for all the family.
Oz will come to Worksop at the Acorn Community Theatre, Queen Street, from Tuesday 12th to Saturday 16th May at 7.00pm each night with a matinee on Saturday at 2.00pm.
