What’s showing this season at Tickhill Film Society

Tickhill Film Society (TFS) would like to welcome everyone to their new season starting in February 2019. They will be showing feature-length films in Tickhill Parish Room on the third and fourth Wednesdays of the month, with doors opening at 6.30pm and films starting at 7.00pm.

Members of the society pay a subscription for a season of films. Join TFS by sending a cheque for £32.00 — payable to Tickhill Film Society – to Janice Birkinshaw, 19 Wong Lane, Tickhill DN11 9NY. If you prefer to pay by cash, then please call either of the numbers below. Guests are welcome to attend, at £5.00 per film.
The films will be:

  • 13th February — ‘Darkest Hour’ — WWII drama, with Gary Oldman as Churchill.
  • 20th February — ‘Finding Your Feet’ – romantic drama, with Imelda Staunton.
  • 20th March — ‘Lady Bird’ — coming of age drama, with Saoirse Ronan.
  • 27th March — ‘I Got Life’ — French romantic drama, with Agnes Jaoui.
  • 17th April — ‘Guernsey Literary Society’ — romantic WWII drama, with Lily James.
  • 24th April — ‘Hampstead’ — romantic drama, with Diane Keaton, Brendan Gleeson.
  • 15th May — ‘One Chance’ — about singer Paul Potts, with James Corden.
  • 22nd May — ‘Some Like It Hot’ — legendary comedy, with Marilyn Monroe.
