Tie a Yellow Ribbon

by | 27 May 2023 | Local Charity, Worksop

On Saturday 24th June Bassetlaw Hospice will once again be helping families celebrate the lives of their loved ones as they are invited to ‘Tie A Yellow Ribbon’ in the grounds of Barnby Moor Memorial Park and Crematorium from 11.00am.

Yellow is the colour of hope and memory and each ribbon has space for families to write a special message to their loved one or just simply a name. The ribbons can then be tied onto the Hospice’s seated pergola situated near the wildflower meadow, and families can spend a moment of quiet reflection if they wish to do so. Alternatively, they can keep the ribbon close to home, maybe by tying it to a structure in their own garden.

This is an invitation to all members of the community who wish to come along remember a loved one.

For a minimum donation of £2.00 Yellow Ribbons will be available from the Hospice’s charity shops in Retford and Worksop, the Hospice Tea Bar in Retford Hospital’s Out-Patient Department and at the Hospice. You will also be able to make a donation and pick up a ribbon at the Hospice stand on the day.

If you are unable to attend but would like a ribbon placing on the pergola, please contact the Bassetlaw Hospice Appeals Office on 01777 710444 or email debbie@bassetlawhospice.org.
