Summer, so far, has been very busy in Tickhill Parish Room. With a new floor and lovely new chairs, this is now a venue that it is difficult to beat. Prices to hire have remained the same for some years now, unlike the supermarkets whose prices seem to rise every time you shop!

So, despite its relatively small size, the Parish Room could be perfect for your event. Although there is no bar, you can serve alcohol provided you don’t intend to sell it. There is a modern kitchen and enough crockery, cutlery and tablecloths to cater for dinner for 60.

Regular classes continue growing, ranging from Yoga to Craft, Ukulele to Baby Massage, WI to Voglia d’Italia, and from Les Francophiles de Tickhill to Accord meetings. Plus the regular Saturday Coffee Morning (10.00am to 12.00pm), with a Traidcraft stall once a month.

Coming up there is a Quiz Night booked for Friday 14th October. It’s never too early to book your place and pie! This event has been a sell-out the last two times it has been on. If you are interested ring Lesley on 01302 744600 immediately!

Another October event is a Breast Cancer Afternoon Cream Tea on 6th October. There will be the usual stalls including a raffle, tombola, book stall and possibly a plant stall – even a cushion stall! If you have any nice cushions or covers, or cushion filling, please phone Janice or take them to the Parish Room between 10.00am and 12.00pm on a Saturday. There may even be a coffee in it for you.

For details of the any of the above, please ring Janice on 07840 419763, when you can book or arrange to go and look at this lovely Grade II listed building.
