A Happy New Year to all members, friends, and supporters of the Wednesday (Memory) Group, including the talented musicians who delight the group with their singing and playing, Sian, who keeps everyone fit, and Trevor, who steps in when Sian is working elsewhere. Special thanks also go to the dedicated volunteers – without them, there would be no Wednesday Group!
They went above and beyond over the festive period, ensuring everyone had a fantastic time, whether lunching at the West Retford Hotel or enjoying Songs and Scones at the library. One final festive event is on the calendar – a visit to the pantomime, Cinderella at the Majestic, this January, which everyone is looking forward to.
After a two-week break, the group will reopen on Wednesday 8th January, by which time members will be eager to reconnect. Frank and his keyboard will be there, along with Sian for chair dancing. Beyond that, the year is shaping up with some exciting ideas and plenty more music – watch this space!
