A book launch event with cream tea and live music is coming to Whitwell Community Centre on Sunday 23rd July, 4.00pm to 8.00pm.
The launch focuses on The Perfect Girlfriend – the debut novel of Hayley Smith. Hayley talks about her inspiration for this ‘gripping and breath-taking psychological thriller’, tipped to be the hot new release of the summer.
Music will come from Luke Concannon, leading singer and co-writer with number 1 chart act Nizlopi (best known for ‘The JCB Song’). Luke’s songs and style deeply influenced a young Ed Sheeran. Luke is now a solo artist receiving rave reviews for his newest album. His live shows are uplifting and utterly enthralling.
Last but not least, Black Thorn will provide more musical entertainment. Showcased by Tony Robinson on his 6Music Radio show, Black Thorn boasts an array of instruments, quirky and infectious melodies and an entertaining and eclectic live performance.
Tickets for this event cost £15.00, to include refreshments, available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/thrills-and-chill. A licensed bar will be available. There will be cabaret-style seating and free parking.
All profits will be donated to Book Aid International.
