The Musicality Singers

A personal account of life in The Musicality Singers:

Who knew it could feel so good singing as part of a choir? Not me! It’s something I’d thought about many times and I’m so glad I finally took the plunge. I must be enjoying it as it’s over 10 years since I made that decision to go along and try out the choir. We have just performed in our first concert of the year, at Worksop Town Hall. It was a sell out and I thoroughly enjoyed being part of it.

I certainly didn’t want to audition for a choir so the Musicality Singers were perfect for me to join. I thought that my voice was pitched as a soprano, and I was correct.

Part of the enjoyment is due in no small part, of course, to having a talented Musical Director, Jenny Demichelli, who makes the learning journey so enjoyable. Jenny is supported by Amy Wright, who accompanies the choir. They are such a good double-act who encourage and motivate us.

We have an amazingly wide-ranging and ever-increasing repertoire that covers music from London’s West End, iconic pop groups, popular folk music and more.

If you would like to find out for yourself what life is like in a community choir, rehearsals are from 10.00am to 12.00pm on Thursday mornings at The Poplars Church (formerly the Golden Ball), Victoria Square, Worksop, S80 1DX.
