A group of members of the Inner Wheel Club of Retford recently enjoyed a lunch to commemorate International Inner Wheel Day. The International President for the current year, Mamta Gupta, has chosen The Heartbeat of Humanity as her theme, uniting 120,000 members worldwide in a common goal. Inner Wheel continues to be a force for good, promoting friendship, service, and international understanding.
On a local level, in Retford, a swimming team consisting of members, family, and friends will be participating in the Rotary Swimathon. The speaker for March will be Adrian Sumner, who will share his experiences of hot air ballooning. Additionally, a group of members will be attending the National Conference in Harrogate, which they are eagerly anticipating.
The club meets at Ye Olde Bell on the second Thursday of every month (5.30pm for 6.00pm) for a meal followed by the meeting. Anyone interested in joining is encouraged to get in touch via retfordiwc@gmail.com.
