On Saturday 13th November, The Crossing will be holding its first Autumn Fayre for two years. Open from 9.30am to 2.00pm, there will be many craft and second-hand stalls – an ideal place to pick up a bargain or a unique gift. The café will be open for refreshments and will be serving snacks and light lunches.
Stalls can be booked for £12.00 per space / table.
The Crossing is starting to get to get busy again with regular groups and events as people who have been missing social contact for so long are ready to get out and about again.
Most weeks see Seated Exercise groups on Tuesdays and Fridays, with specialist groups suitable for people with Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease on Thursdays.
The Baby and Toddler group has now restarted and meets on Wednesday mornings from 9.30am to 11.00am. New members will be made most welcome.
In The Crossing Café area, the Methodist Homes for the Aged host a lunch club on Tuesdays and the Bassetlaw Food Bank host a social eating lunch club on Wednesdays.
Dementia Café is on Thursday mornings and is an ideal time of support for anyone with dementia and their carers.
On Friday there is a regular coffee morning, with homemade cakes and Fairtrade coffee and tea available.
The volunteers who organise all of these events are enjoying welcoming people into The Crossing once again and are looking forward to meeting more of you.
