Summer events at the National Holocaust Museum

The National Holocaust Museum (Acre Edge Road, Laxton NG22 0PA) has announced a series of summer events, offering a programme of engaging talks and activities throughout the school holidays.

 

Author talks

Two special Author Talks will take place this August. On Wednesday 6th August, author Miriam Halahmy will speak from 11.00am to 2.00pm. Later in the month, on Wednesday 20th August, Lucy Adlington will give a talk from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

 

Survivor speakers

Visitors will also have the opportunity to hear directly from Holocaust survivors. The following speakers will be sharing their testimonies:

  • Arek Hersh MBE – Thursdays 31st July and 28th August
  • Janine Webber BEM – Tuesday 5th August
  • John Fieldsend MBE – Tuesday 12th August
  • John Hajdu MBE – Wednesday 13th August
  • Hedi Argent MBE – Thursday 21st August

Family activities and daily tours

Free craft activities will be available in the Community Craft Space throughout the summer school holidays. In addition, daily tours of The Journey will be held Monday to Friday at 11.00am and 1.00pm.
