St Mary’s Church, Tickhill invites you to two fundraising events during September in aid of their Warm and Welcoming Project to replace the Church’s life expired boilers.

Leeds Brass Quartet in Concert

They are delighted to welcome to St Mary’s Church, Leeds Brass Quartet, Ensemble Strings and the Tickhill Community Choir for a concert of music on Saturday 16th September starting at 6.00pm. There will be a highly varied programme including some virtuoso baroque music for strings by Geminiani, original arrangements for brass including a movement from Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, and songs from ‘the shows’.

Entry is free with a retiring collection in support of the Warm and Welcoming project to replace the church boilers. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

An exhibition of art by Tickhill artists and Favourite Hymn event

St Mary’s Church, Tickhill is to host an exhibition of art by Ian Davenport and other artists from Tickhill. Go along and see what talent there is in the town on Saturday 30th September from 10.00am to 4.30pm and again on Sunday 1st October from 12.30pm to 4.30pm. This will be happening in conjunction with the Favourite Hymn event to be held in the Church on Saturday afternoon from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
Do you have a favourite hymn? There is an opportunity to have your personal choice played and sung for a donation towards the £100,000 needed to replace St Mary’s life expired boilers. Contact John Marsden (27 Sunderland Street or phone 01302 744142) to book your hymn.
