SI of the Dukeries – Tree Planting Project

by | 14 April 2022 | Community Focus, Environment, Gardening Club, Heritage, Hobbies, Social Group, Wildlife, Worksop

Soroptimist members went along to the Idle Valley Nature Reserve to hand over a cheque for 15 black poplar trees, which have been grown on and will be planted by ‘Muddy Fork’ – a small charity who are based at the Idle Valley Reserve and benefit from outdoor activities: ‘a green approach to mental wellbeing’. Black poplar trees are very appropriate for this location, and members hope to visit the site to check on the progress of this worthwhile scheme.

The Soroptimist International of the Dukeries club has a business meeting in Worksop on the second Tuesday of most months to discuss the work and programme for the year, which varies to cover everyone’s interests.
