Ryton Chorale – come and sing

by | 21 September 2024 | Hobbies, Music, Worksop

As summer comes to an end and September begins, Ryton Chorale is looking forward to resuming Monday night rehearsals and preparing for their upcoming concert.

To welcome new members, Ryton Chorale is hosting a free informal Come and Sing evening on Monday 7th October at Holy Family School, Netherton Road, Worksop S80 2SF. This evening will provide an opportunity to meet the choir members, sing alongside them, and ask any questions. There is no obligation to join the choir, although new members are always welcome. Music will be provided, and those interested are asked to register by emailing sing@rytonchorale.org.uk.

There are vacancies in all four voice sections of the choir, and both gentlemen and ladies are encouraged to join. Ryton Chorale does not require auditions but offers a short probationary period to help new members settle in. While some musical knowledge is beneficial, the choir will support members in learning any unfamiliar material.

Rehearsals take place during term time, every Monday evening at 7.30pm at Holy Family School on Netherton Road, Worksop. The website is currently being updated and is expected to be live this month. In the meantime, any enquiries can be directed to sing@rytonchorale.org.uk.

The next concert is scheduled for 16th November at The Crossing in Worksop, where Ryton Chorale will perform The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins, along with other supporting pieces. Further details and ticket information will be available soon.

The choir looks forward to welcoming new members and seeing everyone at the upcoming events.
