The rehearsal year for Ryton Chorale begins on Monday 5th September at Holy Family School on Netherton Road in Worksop. It starts with the AGM, followed by the cutting of the 40th anniversary cake. There will also be cup cakes, each one topped with an iced ‘40’ disc, for choir members.
After that the hard work begins on the music written especially for the 40th anniversary by Vice President of the choir Martin Ellerby; scores having been distributed to choir members during the summer break. The Mass of the Winged Lion is exciting music that will be premiered at The Crossing on Saturday 19th November at 7.30pm. The programme will include music for piano from Ben Frith and Heidi Rolfe.
