Ryton Chorale

The end of July sees the start of Ryton Chorale’s summer break after a full season of concerts with impressive soloists and large audiences.

Rehearsals for the 40th Anniversary Concert on Saturday 19th November will be well underway before the break. Both the president of the choir and one of the vice presidents will be part of the concert. Worksop-born composer and vice president Martin Ellerby has written a choral work for the anniversary which will be premiered at the concert. The president of the choir and international concert pianist, Ben Frith, will be playing, as will Heidi Rolf. Tickets for this special concert will be available in September.

Over the summer and into autumn the choir has some social events arranged – a quiz evening with pie and peas, and an anniversary dinner. Former choir members are welcome to the dinner and should email sing@rytonchorale.org.uk for details.
Ryton Chorale is looking forward to singing in the Anniversary Concert and hopes that you will be interested to hear their new work!
