There will be a prestigious line-up of soloists for Ryton Chorale’s end of season concert – The High Viennese, on Saturday 2nd July at The Crossing Church, Newcastle Street in Worksop.

Baritone Matthew Jordan delighted the audience and choir in last November’s concert and he returns, to be joined by tenor Robin Morton from Lichfield, alto Rachel Gilmore from Manchester and Hungarian born soprano Judit Felszeghy. Further information of their many achievements and performances can be found on the choir website www.rytonchorale.org.uk, where concert tickets at £10.00 can be purchased as well as on 01909 476402 or from choir members.

Tom Corfield will accompany the selection of shorter pieces by Mozart and Haydn which will include Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Haydn’s Te Deum. Surprisingly, neither Mozart nor Haydn were born in Vienna but they worked in the city, producing some of their finest works.

The choir is particularly glad to have been able to present a full season of concerts again after the restrictions of lockdown and it is looking forward now to the 40th anniversary in November.
