Retford Arts Hub is celebrating its 10th anniversary in May this year. Established in 2015 as a Community Interest Company, it provides a platform for local food produce, visitor information, and artists and crafters. Run entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers, the Hub offers a warm, friendly space to sit, chat, and browse unique and stylish locally produced items.

Since COVID and under new management, the Hub has expanded its offerings. There are now seven artist studios available at very affordable rates, along with a classroom for hire or for attending a variety of workshops. Regular arts and crafts classes for both adults and children take place and remain highly popular. The Hub has over 100 artist and crafter members, many of whom have been involved since the very beginning.

Exhibitions are held in the Upstairs Gallery, with the recent Is This Art? exhibition proving to be a great success. Visitors’ feedback showed it was enjoyed by many. The current exhibition, Windows and Doors, runs until Friday 25th April and showcases excellent and thought-provoking work by the Hub’s artists – well worth a visit.

To mark 10 years of inspiring work by its members, the Hub will be hosting Open Studios on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th May. Various artists and crafters will be demonstrating their skills, offering visitors inspiration and information, with opportunities to take part.
