Retford Arts Hub on Churchgate is always busy, but for staff that is a great thing, as it means people are being inspired by the fantastic range of arts and crafts available.
Whether you like to just look at beautiful hand made things, purchase individual gifts for that special someone, join in a workshop to learn a new skill or even look to volunteer your time, Retford Arts Hub could be the place for you.
Sewing machine workshops are held on Fridays (with Angela) and Saturdays (with Sue). These are very popular but there are a few places available if you are interested.
Kids clubs on a Saturday also have a few spaces left, so if you are aged between seven and 11, go along and have some fun and be creative (term time only.)
Summer holiday kids’ sessions are available. There will be a sewing session, a textile session and some drawing and painting sessions too. Look in at the Hub or on their Facebook and Instagram pages for the final Summer Holiday programme.
The Hub is looking for new volunteers to help with the kids clubs, so please email or pop into the shop on Churchgate if you think you may be interested. They can even help you to get DBS checked so you can supervise the children.
Volunteering can be a great way to get experience for future employment opportunities and to make new friends. Why not give it a try?
Email info@retfordartshub.com if you are interested in any of the above opportunities.
