Seven young dancers from Worksop are looking forward to showcasing their skills internationally after qualifying for the 2025 Dance World Cup.

This fantastic achievement has earned them a place at the World Finals in Burgos, Spain the July and they are currently fundraising to attend with their families.

After successful auditions, Lucas, Evie, Holly, Jasmine, Maddison, Leah and Porter, who all attend Rebecca’s Dance Studios were selected to represent England at the Finals, where they will compete live against dancers from other countries, in a bid to win world titles.

Renowned worldwide as the ‘Olympics’ for dance, the contest is an amazing opportunity for these young dancers but also recognises their commitment to dance.

It is the first time in its 14-year history that Rebecca’s Dance Studios has qualified to take seven of its young dancers to the prestigious Dance World Cup.

Principal of Rebecca’s Dance Studios, Rebecca Doona said: “This is an incredible achievement and opportunity for these young dancers. I am so proud of them.

“To be asked to represent your country in the World Cup is an honour these children will remember for the rest of their lives. All we want to do is make it possible for them to achieve their dream and to be part of this international event.

“The dancers train every day and to see them compete internationally, and at such a young age, is testament to their dedication.”

Costs for their families include flights, hotels, tickets, costumes, entry fees, rehearsals, Team England uniform and much more.

Rebecca would love to work with any local businesses who can give to help make these young dancers’ dreams come true. Contact her via 07759 777103 or dance@rds.uk.net.
