Celebrating its fifth anniversary, Worksop Pride has announced its long-awaited return. The free event, which celebrates the town and surrounding area’s LGBT+ community, is set to return on Saturday 9th July for a day of live performances, wide variety of stalls, music, dancing, fairground rides, food, drink as well as the Parade which will start at 11.00am at Worksop Train Strain.

The Parade will head towards the Main Event, which begins from 12.00pm on Old Market Square with professional drag artist Shania Pain hosting. There will be performances from some of the UK’s leading tribute acts, like Adele, Beyoncé, Vengaboys, Freddie Mercury and Steps. Additionally, they will have local singers Katie and Esmé Lucas, Katie and Nathan and the dance group Zebra Studios. The celebration continues into the evening with the after-show party being held at the Queens Head.

With approximately 11,000 people attending in 2019, this event is huge for the LGBT+ community and should raise much needed awareness to resources and support available.
