If you enjoy performing in amateur theatre, or you’ve never set foot on a stage before, now’s your chance to take part in a show new to Worksop audiences. Worksop Light Operatic Society are producing ‘Made in Dagenham’ in November this year — the amazing story of how women campaigning for equal pay with men brought a huge car plant to a standstill. With an uplifting storyline and some fantastic musical numbers, this is a great show to be part of, and here’s how!
The society is launching information about the show and the audition process on Sunday 1st March at Worksop Miners’ Welfare at 7.00pm. The actual auditions will be held at the same venue on Sunday 15th March.
If your talent is more in backstage work than appearing on stage, you would be still be very welcome to go along and find out what opportunities the society can provide. There is a role for everyone in producing a musical like this!
Interested? Then just go along on 1st March, or if you would like further information, please contact the director on worksoplightops@gmail.com or find the society on Facebook.
