Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust North Nottinghamshire Local Group

by | 2 July 2025 | Wildlife, Worksop

Members of the Wildlife Trust are automatically members of the local group that is active in their area. This means that they can stand for election to the committee and have a say in how they support nature locally. It also entitles them to a say in the programme of talks and events the local group offers.

Many local group members are also volunteers so, in addition to knowing their subscription is helping to support things like habitat creation and caring for over 40 nature reserves across Nottinghamshire, they are often at work on the reserves themselves, enjoying the great outdoors, making friends with other volunteers and keeping remarkably fit!

Some activities are only available to members of the Trust but the North Notts Local Group is happy to sign up non-members for email alerts and to welcome them to their talks and most of their other activities, at no extra charge, unless otherwise stated. Of course, they’d love you to become full members of the Trust if you’re not already and they hope that if you like what they do, you will join but the important thing is that we all do our very best to understand what our wildlife needs and to support it in the best way we can. For starters, you could sign up for the Group’s regular emails and make sure you get to know what’s happening in North Notts and don’t miss anything important.
