North Notts Association of National Trust Members

The North Notts Association of National Trust Members AGM, followed by a talk on Bolsover Castle from Ian Morgan, took place on 20th April and concluded the programme of talks for 2021-2022. The minutes of last year’s AGM were approved and these were followed by reports from Chairman Haydn Lee and the Treasurer, followed by election of committee members and auditor. An appeal was once again made for members to put themselves forward for helping out on the committee and pointing out that lack of additional committee members could seriously affect the programmes that the group is able to produce.

Speaker Ian Morgan is a published author on historical and crime subjects and gives his time to English Heritage to act as a guide for Bolsover Castle. He has many different talks on the history of the castle and members were surprised at the fascinating history of the castle.

From May there are monthly visits to places of interest until October, when the talks will resume. Members will be sent the relevant information for each outing.
Membership is £30.00 single or £55.00 joint and covers seven talks from October to April and five outside visits from May to September, which are priced separately.

Upcoming visits

  • 14th June: Nottingham Castle and City walking tour
  • 7th July: Black Country Museum
  • 18th August: Hull city tour
  • 13th September: The Ropewalk, Barton on Humber and Burton Constable
