North Notts Association of National Trust Members

Whilst it may appear that nothing much has been happening in the North Notts Association of National Trust Members recently, the committee has been constantly monitoring the situation and working hard with a view to getting back to normal as soon as the pandemic allows. Several talks have been given on Zoom which some members have been able to access, and several committee meetings have also been held on Zoom.
They are now preparing the programme for 2021-22 in the hope that by October they can resume as normal. They are booking speakers who can also speak on Zoom if still required but, subject to the availability of The Crossing, meetings will resume on Wednesday 20th October at 7.30pm with a talk by Dr Sylvia Dunkley entitled ‘Artistry in Stone, Wood and Bronze by Frank Tory and Sons of Sheffield’. This should be of interest to anyone who knows Sheffield well or has visited frequently and will have seen examples of this work.
Most of the outings which had been planned for 2020 and never took place are being carried over to 2022, with the exception of the visit to Charlecote Park and Warwick which were due to be headed by Dr David Bostwick who has now unfortunately had to give up his role as president of the Association. Members will be updated on the situation as soon as possible and contacted shortly with details of the programme, when dates and times will be shown together with details of the revised subscriptions. They hope that all existing members will renew their membership and encourage friends and family to join them. Meetings are all open to visitors and guests on payment of £6.00. Further details of the Association can be found online or email
