by | 14 February 2019 | Notice, Worksop

A new general charity shop has been opened in Old Drill Hall, Colbeck/Shaw Street, Worksop S80 1SJ, by Bible4health Missions. It will sell new and used items including cards, vehicles, antiques, books, small house and office furniture, as well as offering space to play indoor games, enjoy coffee/tea and contests and much more.

It will be open from Sunday to Thursday from 8.30am to 12.30pm and on Fridays from 8.30am to 4.00pm. There will also be a drop-in centre for morning coffee/tea for the homeless daily from 7.30am to 9.30am and an indoor car boot sale on Sundays and Fridays. For those who wish to sell their items, you may donate £3.00 per Sunday or Friday, and this goes towards the shop’s projects and programs. The sales take place on Sundays from 6.30am to 12.30pm and Fridays from 6.30am to 4.00pm.
The shop sponsors and supports the following:

  • Spots in the Bottle project — a prevention, management and awareness project in negative and positive human needs locally.
  • Take your Pick charity game program — take your pick from £1.00 to £15,000 or a pen to a vehicle or win shopping from the charity shop and many more prizes
  • Morning Drop in Centre
  • Clean living — domestic environment for the elderly from 75 years and those living with terminal illness.
Reduction of loneliness in Bassetlaw community
  • Bible Health Secrets Forum — a discussion, presentations and practical forum on natural health, character development, the environment and video discussion presentation.
  • Shoes, Boots and Clothes for the remote African Village project — the project is aimed at distributing shoes or boots to African villages to reduce the health risks and deaths caused by walking barefoot in the most remote areas in Africa.

If you have any items, footwear or clothes you would like to donate to this project, you can send your donation direct to Bible4health Missions, see www.bible4healthmissions.com for details.
