New destinations for BAC minibus trips

Bassetlaw Action Centre (BAC) has released its February to May minibus trip schedule, featuring four new venues. Alongside much-loved favourites such as lunch at Whitby’s Fish and Chip Shop in Doncaster, a shopping day at Brigg Garden Centre and visits to two different ice cream cafés later in the year, there are now two new lunch destinations and two new day trips.

Lunch at the scenic Torworth Lakes will take place on Tuesday 3rd February, while Thursday 16th April offers the chance to meet neighbours and make new friends at Sutton-cum-Lound Village Hall’s Lunches for Locals – and anyone from Bassetlaw counts as a local.

On Thursday 19th March, there will be a day trip to the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln, where visitors can learn about the story of Bomber Command in the Second World War in the Chadwick Centre, and take time to reflect at the landmark Spire and Wall of Names.

Cusworth Hall Museum and Park – last visited some time ago – will be the destination on Monday 20th April. Cusworth Hall is a beautiful Grade I listed building set in acres of historic parkland, with a recently restored walled garden, tea rooms and the old kitchen to explore.

BAC minibuses pick up and drop off passengers at their door from anywhere in Bassetlaw. Tickets are £10.00 for lunch trips and £20.00 for day trips. Please note that prices do not include entry fees or refreshments. Membership is free, and the bus is fully accessible with a lift for wheelchairs.

Bookings open on Thursday 15th January. The full list of destinations is available at http://www.bassetlawactioncentre.org.uk or by calling 01777 709650.
