If you’d like to hear one of the best choirs in the area in full voice — and support a good cause at the same time — you have the chance to do just that, on Saturday 29th September, when The Musicality Singers perform at St Luke’s Church, Shireoaks. The aim is to raise funds for the refurbishment of Shireoaks Village Hall, a Grade II listed building that has seen better days. It’s still well used, though, by a diverse assortment of groups from Tai Chi and Tae Kwon-Do to line dancing, WI, Slimming World, Cubs and Brownies.
The Musicality Singers regularly fill to capacity the venues they perform in, so you might want to come along and find out why. From 7.00pm, the choir will be raising the roof at St Luke’s Church with a mix of music from Billy Joel, Sting, Ben E King, Leonard Bernstein, Irving Berlin and many others. Tickets are £5.00 for a full evening’s entertainment — and all the proceeds go to the village hall refurbishment project. So you get to help a good cause, feel virtuous and be entertained while you’re doing it. You don’t get better value than that. Tickets are available from the Shireoaks Post Office or St Luke’s church. Or you can email Peter Stanley at email@example.com.
