Enjoy short, informal concerts from 12.00pm to 12.30pm every Thursday at Priory Church Worksop from 11th April 2024 until end of July 2024. It’s free entry, hot drinks afterwards while chatting to the musician and an optional collection.
These events are a friendly welcome and a chance to hear some good performers in a variety of music – organ, voice, piano, folk instruments.
April’s dates are:
- 11th: Organist at the Priory, Rosemary Field, presents organ music for Easter.
- 18th: Samuel Davie, a first-year Durham University student with a magnificent voice. He will be singing favourites by Schumann and Schubert, both with fiendish piano parts for Rosemary to play!
- 25th: Ian Bevell and Rosemary Field are playing one serious organ duet by Gustav Merkel, then a joke one by fictional composer PDQ Bach (actually the late Peter Schikele) by way of innocent fun.
