Live music returns to Firbeck Village Hall on Saturday 24th November with a concert from the contemporary folk band ‘Ranagri’. Featuring musicians Dónal Rogers (vocals/guitar), Eliza Marshall (flutes/whistles), Ellie Turner (electric harp) and Joe Danks (bodhrán/tenor guitar) who are based in London and have come together to create some exciting new music.
Fusing celtic folk roots with quality contemporary songwriting, they produce an electrifying mix of original virtuosic instrumentals, haunting melodies, vivid storytelling and a unique take on old and new folk songs.
Ranagri will be showcasing material from their freshly wrapped new fourth studio album and from their critically acclaimed releases ‘Voices’, ‘Tradition’ and ‘Fort of the Hare’. Support is from the acoustic duo ‘Plumhall’.
