Intimate Exchanges at Acorn Theatre

by | 8 February 2018 | Performing Arts, Worksop

Dukeries Theatre Group’s latest production is Alan Ayckbourn’s Intimate Exchanges. The play centres on the relationship of Toby and Celia Teasdale. He’s the headmaster of a private school and she’s his put upon wife. After many years of marriage Toby has grown too fond of the whisky bottle and the sarcastic comment. Celia’s decision to have Lionel, the school caretaker, clear their garden shed has unexpected consequences when she learns that Lionel is a master baker. Events culminate in the refreshments tent on a tumultuous school sports day. Alan Ayckbourn is an ever popular author renowned for his witty observations of everyday life and this play is no exception.

February is often the dullest time of the year so why not come along to the Acorn Theatre in Worksop for an amusing and entertaining night out. Performances are at 7.30pm on 15th, 16th and 17th February. All tickets cost £10.00 and are available in person from the Acorn box office, by calling 01909 501817 or online via the Acorn website, www.acorntheatre.net.
