Do you have a few hours to spare each week? Bassetlaw Hospice is looking for volunteers to join existing teams based in their Retford and Worksop charity shops.
There are lots of benefits to volunteering; as well as helping the charity, you will be socialising, making new friends, gaining new skills or utilising the skills you already have.
Mallory, the retail coordinator, said: “The role of a retail volunteer is a varied one involving preparing stock for sale, merchandising stock on the shop floor, face to face customer service and cash handling, all within the friendly environment of a great shop.”
Rena, a hospice retail volunteer based at Worksop, said: “Volunteering gives me a purpose, a routine to my week. I enjoy working with the team, meeting people. Over the years we get to know regulars.”
More volunteer quotes can be found on the Hospice website, www.bassetlawhospice.org.
For more information, please call 01777 710444, email Mallory at mallory@bassetlawhospice.org or pop into one of the charity shops for an informal chat.
