Meet the Photographer: Terence Lane, FRPS

Join an informal session with the opportunity to ask questions about Terence Lane’s Sciryuda series of photographs. Participants are welcome to take their own photographs for feedback on their work.
Terence Lane is a contemporary landscape photographer who has lived in and around Sherwood Forest for most of his life. His interests span both natural and urban landscapes. A Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, he has exhibited nationally and internationally, with his work held in private collections. His exhibition Sciryuda runs at Bassetlaw Museum until 2nd November. This is a free drop-in session.
The Scandalous Marriages and Affairs of the Sherwood Nobility

Local author and historian Adrian Gray will give an illustrated and entertaining introduction to his new book, The Scandalous Lives of the Sherwood Forest Nobility.
All your favourite places are here – Clumber, Rufford, Thoresby, Welbeck, Newstead, and perhaps the lesser-known Bestwood and Worksop Manor. Adrian will cover a range of scandals, including lustful affairs, disastrous marriages, vast sums lost in gambling, and even some political corruption. You may think life now is bad, but it wasn’t much better in the past, even amongst our so-called ‘social superiors’.
Books will be on sale at a special launch price. Light refreshments will be available.
