Children’s Summer Holiday Trail

by | 19 August 2023 | Art, Hobbies, Worksop

The Arts Society Dukeries has launched its latest Trail of Discovery in time for the school holidays. The new trail is at St Mary’s Church, Tickhill and is suitable for children aged around eight to 12.

A Trail of Discovery is a questionnaire which leads children around the building, looking at points of local history, architecture etc. There is an answer sheet for adults who accompany the children too.

The Church is open every day and free copies of the Trail are available there. There is also a poster with a QR code in the Church so that the Trail can be downloaded.

If you are interested in the arts in all forms, you may wish to join The Arts Society Dukeires.

Monthly lectures take place at the Civic Centre, Carlton. Members of the Society also enjoy two extra Special Interest Days, newsletters, a national magazine, a coach holiday and days out to local places of interest.

The group is now on a summer break, resuming lectures in October.

The Society meets at the Civic Centre, Long Lane, Carlton-in-Lindrick S81 9AP. Tea and coffee are available from 10.00am, ready to start by 11.00am and lasting for approximately one hour. Free car parking is available. Members pay an annual subscription and visitors are welcome, paying at the door.
