Simply Swing Concert
Bassetlaw Hospice and the Worksop u3a swing band Simply Swing invite you to enjoy an evening of swing music at Ye Olde Bell Barnby Moor, Retford, on Friday 21st November from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Tickets are £10.00 each and all proceeds are being donated to the Hospice. As well as an evening of music, try your luck on the raffle which will be drawn on the night. A 20% discount is available for concert goers booking a meal from 5.00pm to 6.30pm, please enquire when you buy a ticket. Christmas Fayre
On Saturday 29th November Bassetlaw Hospice will once again be holding their fundraising Christmas Fayre at The Well, Hospital Road, Retford. Doors open from 10.00am to 1.00pm. Alongside the Hospice’s signature Pop Up Shop, with clothing and accessories available for the festive season, there will also be a variety of stalls selling gifts, crafts and books. Raffle tickets will also be on sale and will be drawn on the day. Refreshments will be available along with delicious home-made cakes to take away or sit and eat in the relaxing café area. Christmas Memory Stars
On Tuesday 2nd December Bassetlaw Hospice will once again be holding their Christmas Memory Star event in the grounds outside the hospice from 6.30pm. Everyone is invited to hang their star then take a moment to reflect whilst the tree is illuminated with hundreds of lights. There will be complementary refreshments available to keep everyone warm whilst the choir from Dunham on Trent Primary School sing some Christmas favourites. The wooden stars are available now for a minimum donation of £2.00 from the Hospice charity shops in Worksop and Retford and the Hospice Tea Bar situated in the outpatient entrance of Retford Hospital. You can personalise your star with the name of a loved one, a message or simply decorate as you wish and if you prefer you can keep it to hang on your own Christmas tree at home.
