Can you help a local society?

The Worksop Light Operatic Society has a problem, and the members are hoping someone in Worksop may be able to help to solve it. The Society has been producing musical shows and pantomimes for the people of Worksop and district for more than forty years, and during that time has amassed a large amount of costumes and stage props. These have been stored for many years by a very generous local resident, but unfortunately are now outgrowing the space available! Is there a company or individual out there who may be able to help?

The Society is looking for a dry, clean, secure space roughly equivalent to a double garage or larger, preferably at ground level and with independent vehicle access, which would be available long term. An electricity supply would be the icing on the cake. A small amount of rent could be paid, but this could be negotiated.

“I know this is a big request,” says the society secretary, “but we cannot afford to purchase or hire premises at the normal rate. Every penny we take in ticket sales is used to finance the next production. We want to be able to entertain local audiences for many years to come, and any help with storage would give us valuable support to continue to do this.”

If there is anyone able to offer such help, please contact either the secretary on 07831 792435 or the treasurer on 07870 397486.
