Back with a new name and a new venue, Bassetlaw Railway Society is proud to announce its 40th Model Railway Exhibition at the Elms Hotel, London Road, Retford DN22 7DX on Saturday 18th November.
The pandemic reduced the Society’s membership to the point that running an exhibition was no longer feasible. However, an influx of new young members has drastically improved numbers to the point where the Society felt able to stage an exhibition this year.
Unfortunately, the ever-increasing cost of hiring the Town Hall necessitated a change of venue and the event has been moved to the Elms Hotel. This venue has the advantage of free parking, a bar and refreshments on site.
The exhibition will include at least 10 layouts in gauges from N to O gauge, trade and society stands including the Community Rail Partnership and Friends of Retford Station.
The exhibition runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm and has been reduced to a one-day event and to make it easier on the family budget: adult entry costs £5.00 and all children under 16 accompanied by a paying adult will be admitted free.
