This month, members of the Bassetlaw Branch of Parkinson’s UK will enjoy their Christmas party on Tuesday 2nd December, featuring a hearty pie-and-pea lunch, followed by festive desserts and a fun-filled raffle. Entertainment will be provided by the Aurora Centre Singing for Well-being Group, performing Christmas songs for everyone to join in with. The group is always a pleasure to welcome, especially as 12 branch members regularly sing with them.
The celebration will mark a fitting end to a very busy and successful year. New members have joined the branch every month, each receiving a warm welcome and quickly making new friends while taking part in the wide range of activities on offer.
The first meeting of the new year will take place on Tuesday 6th January at 2.00pm at Worksop Cricket Club, Central Avenue, S80 1EN. New members are always warmly invited to go along. Anyone considering visiting and wishing to find out more beforehand can contact Chris Coldwell on 01909 730629.
