Bassetlaw Branch of Parkinson’s UK

by | 30 April 2024 | Support Group, Worksop

March and April were busy months for the Bassetlaw branch of Parkinson’s UK members with a very enjoyable outing to Pennell’s Garden Centre in Lincoln, followed by lunch at The Windmill Farm Hotel.

Members also enjoyed seated exercise classes, group singing sessions and indoor bowling. The aim of the group is to enjoy such time together while pursuing happy and beneficial activities.

The 7th May meeting will welcome Geoffrey Harris talking about the amusing life of a Toast Master. Members will also meet at the Lockkeeper on 21st May for the regular Lunch Club, and then on 4th June Bob Massey returns to tell the story of Glenn Miller.

Further ahead, on Wednesday 19th June members will meet at The Aurora Centre for an afternoon of tea and cakes, when the theme will be ‘Parkinson’s and Me’. A time to chat about the personal Parkinson’s experiences.

Meetings are at Worksop Cricket Club, Central Avenue, S80 1EN at 2.00pm. New members are always very welcome and are warmly greeted.

Call Chris Coldwell on 01909 730629 for more details of the group, its activities and benefits.
