July was a very busy month for the Bassetlaw branch of Parkinson’s UK, with an outing to Skegness and lunch at The Lockkeeper as well as the well-attended monthly meeting. Chris Howse entertained members with stories of wedding customs and nursery rhymes.
The meeting on Tuesday 1st August welcomes Elaine Mein talking about medieval objects and charms. The weekly Pilates, Singing Together and Bowling classes are very popular and most enjoyable.
The next meeting of the Lunch Club funded by the Branch will be on 19th September at 12.00pm, which new members are invited to join.
Branch meetings are on the first Tuesday of every month at 2.00pm at Worksop Cricket Club, S80 1EN. New members go along almost every month and are warmly welcomed.
The group firmly believes that no one with Parkinson’s disease should feel alone and they offer the hand of friendship and support to you, your family and friends.
