As we launch into 2022, the Aurora Wellbeing Centre looks forward to welcoming the local community back through its doors at the Old Library and Museum building in Worksop.

Aurora Wellbeing is a unique therapy service providing support in and with the community for people living with cancer and long-term health conditions, including social isolation and loneliness. Their support embraces families and carers, and they promote good health and quality of life for everyone. Working to improve individual’s physical and emotional wellbeing is what Aurora does.

They are also a community hub. Whether it’s enjoying lunch in Valerie’s Tea Room, searching for a bargain in the charity shop, enjoying the displays in the Heritage Hub or taking part in one of their regular events, they are open to everyone and welcome you all into their wonderful building. Did you know you can hire out the meeting and community rooms? Did you know that they have a programme of events and activities for everyone to enjoy?

Here is a taster of what to expect in 2022.
Aurora launches its Heritage Café on the first Tuesday of every month, beginning Tuesday 1st February. Enjoy a new opportunity to socialise, meet new people, get active, keep learning and explore Worksop’s past.

Then look out for the return of Wellbeing Wednesday on the first Wednesday of every month, beginning Wednesday 2nd February.

They will also be launching an Aurora Explorer group in the spring – a programme of guided visits to local heritage sites and local attractions for people living with cancer and long-term health conditions, their families and carers in Bassetlaw.
