Welcome to a garden designed around a small pool, with full brightly coloured borders and plants, reminiscent of the owner’s childhood in Keyna, mingled with grasses for a relaxed feel. Flowering perennials attract pollinators and are left standing tall. A hillside with 35 trees with coppiced orchard and small kitchen garden. This two-acre horticultural enterprise provides training and volunteering opportunities to 60 members of the local community, some with special needs. Home to hens, pigs, donkeys, and a pony it also highlights a wealth of horticultural practices and grows flowers, fruit and vegetables and eggs for sale. Chance to meet and chat with the volunteers. Limited wheelchair access, plants for sale, parking, refreshments.

Second opening this year of a 1.2 acre garden being extensively remodelled and replanted by the current owners. Garden wraps around an early Georgian farmhouse (not open). Explore a number of distinct areas including a formal garden planted with ornamental grasses and white flowering plants, a large Mediterranean style gravel patio, productive garden, new orchard, wildflower areas and courtyard. Some wheelchair access, dog friendly, plants for sale, refreshments.

Oasis Community Gardens, 2a Longfellow Drive, Kilton Estate, Worksop
A community project in the heart of Worksop. Transformed from an abandoned field, this exciting garden boasts over 30 areas, several garden enterprises and hosts many community events. Take a look in the Cactus Kingdom, the children’s pre-school village, Wildlife Wonderland and enjoy the large variety of trees, plants, seasonal flowers and shrubs. The Oasis garden is home to the first liquorice garden in Worksop for 100 years and is also home to ‘Flowers for Life’ project, growing and selling cut flowers and floristry. Winner of the Cultivation Street Awards, 2020 for the Best Community Gardens – Midland Region and runner up for Better Health Gardens. Disabled access, plants for sale, refreshments, picnics welcome.

Opening for many years for the National Garden Scheme and a firm favourite garden of many returning visitors, this two-acre hillside garden is planted with an artful eye for design, colour texture and a love of unusual plants and trees. New garden planting / design at bottom of garden which attracts diverse wildlife. Wheelchair access, dog friendly, plants for sale, parking, refreshments.
