The Arts Society Dukeries ran a free children’s activity stall at the Carlton Village Fun Day at the Civic Centre. This was part of the society’s Young Arts Outreach Project, where children are encouraged to take part in art and similar pastimes. The children had time to design and make badges, as well as decorate animal masks, by colouring, cutting and sticking lots of different materials onto prepared blank badges and masks. It was good fun for everyone, and children of all ages had a chance to take part in these creative activities. Adults joined in and it was a great time for the children and their parents.
