If the answer is yes, then why not join the Bassetlaw Hospice team taking on Yorkshire’s High and Low Challenge on Sunday 1st October?

This one-day challenge will take in the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales as the team make their way up Ingleborough, which is one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, and stands at 723m (2,372f) with wonderful panoramic views of Whernside, Pen-y-Ghent and out to Morecambe Bay.

Ingleborough also has many underground challenges and that’s where the low part comes in; after climbing to the summit, part of the descent is by negotiating ‘The Long Churn Caves’ with sparkling streams and waterfalls. How you descend into the cave is personal choice – either by abseiling down or via the steps. Either way you will complete this challenge!

You need to be reasonably fit to take part so if you can go walking for a day or climb stairs then this challenge is for you (please note, this is not a caving challenge). Transport is provided and experienced guides will be with the team every step of the way. There is a £300 minimum fundraising target to reach for this challenge.

If you’d like to take part go to www.bassetlawhospice.org/fundraising and register your interest.

The combination of ascending to the top and descending through the cave gives this day the ultimate challenge experience!
