During OICs parade, four cadets were promoted at 1208 (Warsop) Squadron. Two were promoted to the rank of Corporal and two to the rank of Sergeant. All eight cadets who applied worked unimaginably hard with their applications.
Recently, five cadets have achieved their blue Road Marching award, walking a total of 60km over three dates. For some this may be their first step into their Road Marching journey with some cadets soon expected to take part in their bronze award.
Cadet Daws said: “I liked road marching. I made new friends and got to know them. The friends who I already knew were able to get to know each other better and when we finished it was really rewarding.”
And Sergeant Dau said: “My experience in road marching has taught me a lot about being able to keep going during this exercise. Road marching will definitely tire you out. There will be times where you would want to give up or something is aching, but you just have to keep going.”
The Squadron often fundraises with activities like bag-packing for supermarket customers. Funds raised will help our Squadron to have more opportunities and experiences.
On 12th November, Cadets and staff mustered together to commemorate and remember all service personnel who have passed away during wars over the past centuries. The Squadron paraded all the way through Warsop and Killamarsh to show their appreciation.
