At their monthly meeting, Ollerton WI members gathered to vote for a new president. They expressed their gratitude to Janet Godwin, who had served as president for the past two years, with a resounding thank you for her excellent work. The position of president has now been assumed by Janine Fletcher, and the WI ladies wished her the best in her new role, hoping for a successful year ahead.

The 11th May Coronation Party comes too soon for this magazine, but details will be shared in the next issue.

In June, some members are looking forward to attending a micron theatre event. The summer trip will take them to the Walks of Life Museum, which boasts the largest collection of handcarts in the UK, established by traveller Dorothy Harrison.

Ollerton WI offers a wide range of activities, including darts, walking netball, a walking club, and much more. If you’re interested in joining, come along to the Jubilee Hall, Wellow Road, Ollerton on the first Thursday of the month at 7.15pm to 9.45pm. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
