Wickersley walks

by | 9 May 2021 | Rotherham, Walking

Many people have enjoyed regular walks around the village of Wickersley particularly during our ‘Year of Lockdowns’ and the Parish Council appreciates just how important these local walks have been for people. So, with the support of local residents Glenna and Mick Briggs, the parish is developing a selection of local self-guided walks.
There will be a new walk in each edition of ‘Wickersley Parish News’ and walks will be posted on the Wickersley Walks Facebook page as they are developed – www.facebook.com/WickersleyWalks.
Councillor Sue Ellis, Chair of Wickersley Parish Council, said: “If anyone has a favourite local walk then we’d love to hear about it so we can work with you to develop a map and guidance which can be shared with everyone. I’ve lived in Wickersley for over 30 years and I really enjoy the variety of walks in and around Wickersley.”
