WING, or the Wickersley Neighbourhood Group, is a social group for elderly or isolated people who live in the Wickersley, Flanderwell, Sunnyside or Bramley areas.
It is run by volunteers, and in term time the meetings are every Wednesday from 1.30pm to 3.30pm in the Barn, Church Lane, Wickersley S66 1ES. The first autumn meeting after the summer break will be on Wednesday 11th September.
Each week there are different activities, including music from singers, quizzes, speakers, raffles and bingo, and refreshments are served at the beginning and end of all meetings. Transport can be arranged for any new member to get to and from the Barn on Wednesdays via the Community Buses, and there is always a WING escort to see you safely on and off the bus.
